Today, in the UK, is Mother's Day. Here is the card that I made for my Mum.
The top photo is more of a true representation of the colours.
It's contrasting card with a ribbon on the left.
The flower is drawn using my favourite Uni-Pin fineliners. It's coloured using Derwent Studio Pencils.

I found some locally, finally, and bought a bunch. They're great, but like you said, don't write over everything.
